Milk suppliers from Batsumber soum visited the Monfresh factory

The team of Monfresh, the first company to introduce Tetra Pak technology in Mongolia, was among the pioneers to produce pure cow’s milk from local farms using this technology and offer it to consumers.

Monfresh also became the first private enterprise to aim at establishing a milk supply system that spans across Mongolia. They have set up portable refrigeration centers in Gachuurt village near Ulaanbaatar, as well as in Batsumber, Bornuur, Mungunmorit in Tuv province, and Baruunkharaa and Zuunkharaa in Selenge province. These centers operate year-round, collecting fresh milk from herders and farmers to produce dairy products exclusively from 100% local milk.

In addition, Monfresh’s ‘Biee Bodooroi’ brand produces yogurt and curds from pure cow’s milk, and they are also manufacturing four types of cheese using French technology, all from Mongolian cow’s milk. These products are supplied to the domestic market, with plans for export in the near future.

Recently, Monfresh welcomed milk suppliers from Batsumber soum, which is a major supplier of Ulaanbaatar’s milk, to visit their factory. During this visit, the company presented plans for future cooperation.

Herders and farmers discussed the development of a nationwide milk supply system. This system allows herders to supply their milk to national factories at market prices, while the factories produce affordable, organic products from local raw materials for domestic consumers and for potential export. This initiative provides consumers with the opportunity to purchase products made from local ingredients, while also supporting the livelihoods of domestic farmers.
